On this day, you will meet with the driver at Manas airport and transfer to the east part of the country through the Boom gorge to the mountainous region of Karakol. The road runs along the shore of the largest lake in the country – Issyk-Kul, which impresses with its views. Stop for lunch on the way (lunch is not included in the price). Upon arrival in Karakol, you will be taken to the guest house, where you will stay overnight. After accommodation, the guide will take you to dinner and briefing on the program.

This day is intended to acclimatize. The guide will conduct for you a tour of the city with a visit to the Holy Trinity Church, the Dungan mosque (19th century), the local bazaar and the Museum of great geographer Przhevalski. After dinner, you will be taken to your guest house.
The day will begin with an early breakfast, after which you will be taken to the Karakol gorge by car to the start point of your trekking route.
Karakol gorge is located 9 km south of the city. The length of the gorge is 40 km. It is located next to the Terskey Ala-Too ridge. On this day you will pass 13 km. The first night will take place in the area of the camp “Sirota” (2800 m). The guide will prepare dinner for you and set up tents.

After breakfast, you will climb from the camping site to Lake Ala-Kul (3500m), which takes about 3 hours. After a short halt, you will continue to climb the steep scree slope to the Ala-Kul Pass (3860 m.), where you will have lunch with a stunning view of the lake. Then you will go down from the pass to the Keldyke gorge. Here the guide will prepare dinner and camp at altitude (3200 m).

Today you will continue descending from the Keldyk gorge to the Altyn-Arashan gorge. You will have the opportunity to visit the pools with mineral water and take a walk around the neighborhood. After that there will be lunch and accommodation in the Kyrgyz national dwelling “Yurt”. Dinner. Overnight in yurts (2500 m.).

Day of rest after a busy active program. You will visit the hot wild springs and make a horse ride to the mountain waterfall in the gorge Arashan. Overnight in yurts (2500 m.).
After an early breakfast, you can take a hot pool before returning to Karakol. The descent takes 5-6 hours along the Arashan gorge, at the confluence of the Ak-Suu and Arashan gorges you will meet a car that will take you back to Karakol. Dinner. Guest house accommodation. Dinner.

This day you are waited by a trip to the hot springs in Oruktu village. You will spend the whole day on the northern shore of the Issyk-Kul lake, swimming in hot springs and enjoying rest after the mountains. Then you will be taken to the guest house in Karakol.
Today you have a trip to an amazing place with an unusual relief called “Fairy Tale”. This is a canyon on the shores of the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, formed from red sandstone. Then, you will go to the next gorge – Barskoon, you will have a short walk to the waterfall “Tears of Snowleopard”. Return to the city of Karakol. Farewell dinner at the ethno cafe.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport / hotel in Bishkek. The road will also pass along the shore of the Issyk-Kul lake and through the gorge, so you will always be accompanied by a wonderful view outside the window!
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 oC and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 oC. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
A small towel, swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul), sunglasses, photo camera, notepad and a pen to make notes as you travel, a smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
