On the day of your arrival you will be met at Manas airport, after which you will go to the city of Karakol. The road runs along the shores of Issyk-Kul, and you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful view of the country’s largest lake, surrounded by majestic mountains! In one of the towns located on the lake shore you will have lunch (not included in the tour price), then continue on your way. Later in the evening you will be taken to a cozy guest house in Karakol. After dinner, you will meet with your guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey.
After breakfast, transfer to Jety-Oguz gorge, famous for its red rocks and legends that make up about them. Entering the gorge, you will see red rocks, “Broken Heart” and “Seven Bulls”. Trekking tour will begin at the confluence of the Jety-Oguz and Telety gorges. Trekking for 3-4 hours along Telety gorge. At the foot of Telety pass you will make a camp, the guide will prepare dinner and set up tents, where you will stay overnight at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level.
After breakfast, you will climb the Telety Pass (3800 meters above sea level), which begins with two steep climbs. Lunch will take place on the pass with a stunning view of the Telety valley, where you will go down after lunch. Then you will continue to descend in the Karakol gorge to the place of confluence with the Telety gorge. Here you organize a camp and stay for the night in tents (2400m.).
After breakfast, you will continue trek down the Karakol gorge to the bridge leading to the Ala-Kul lake. Lunch will take place at the stunning view of the gorge. After lunch, you continue your journey to the Orphan camp, which is located at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level. While the guide will set up tents and cook dinner, you will have time to look around the camp and walk around the neighborhood, then you will have dinner and overnight in tents.
Today, you will begin a hike to Lake Ala-Kul (3500 m). The ascent from the camping site to the lake takes about 3 hours. After a short halt, there is a long climb along the steep scree slope to the Ala-Kul Pass (3860 m.). Lunch will be held at the first picnic-friendly place with a charming view of the lake and the surrounding mountainous scenery. After lunch, you will continue to descend to the Keldyke Gorge, where you will stay overnight in tents.
In the morning, after breakfast, you will continue to descend for three hours, until you reach the Altyn-Arashan valley, where you will have the opportunity to visit mineral water pools and take a walk around the neighborhood. After the walk, you will have dinner and stay in the Kyrgyz national dwelling “Yurt” at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level.
You can start your day with a swim in the hot pool after breakfast, and then continue to descend to the Karakol gorge, where the car will be waiting for you. After lunch, you will be taken to the guest house, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Today you will go to the city of Bishkek along the shore of the largest lake in the country – Lake Issyk-Kul. After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel / airport with a luggage of great memories!
You can take all necessary things. Please take into consideration that in summer time the temperature in Bishkek city reaches up to 40 oC and in the mountains the temperature decreases to 10 oC. Be prepared for unexpected changes of the weather.
Recommended: rain-coat, sweater/fleece, wind-stopper, enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns), hat (remember – the sun can be violent), sun-screen cream (30 or higher), insect repellent (skin + clothes), good trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains, walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks, flash light (torch).
Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions), personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
A small towel, swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul), sunglasses, photo camera, notepad and a pen to make notes as you travel, a smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
